Martin Joseph "Marty" Hazen, 66, of Topeka, Kansas passed away on May 13, 2018. Marty was born in Niagara Falls, New York on April 29, 1952 to the late Harry and Alice Hazen. He retired from the Kansas Department of Insurance in 2015, was a member of Orient Lodge #51 and the Arab Shrine in Topeka.

He enjoyed listening to music, reading, cooking and travel. He was a loving husband and father.

Marty is survived by his wife Barbara (Forsyth) Hazen; daughter, Sarah Hazen; brother, Matthew Hazen (Debbie); sister, Patricia Hazen; sister-in-law, Deb Fili (Jim); brothers-in-law, Jack Forsyth (Susan), Pat Forsyth (Pat), and Joe Forsyth; nieces and nephews, Melissa Hazen, Matthew Hazen, Douglas Forsyth, Megan Forsyth, Brian Forsyth, Jamie Fili and Kevin Forsyth.

Masonic Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 3:00 p.m.
