June was born December 19, 1927, in Graham, MO, to Ernest Kyle and Clara Ethel (Zapf) Hasty. She enjoyed painting, woodcarving, and traveling. June married William “Bill” Robey, Sr. on March 7, 1947 in Skidmore, MO; he preceded her in death on July 9, 1980. She then married LeRoy Weishaar on September 4, 1982 in Nortonville, KS; they later divorced. June then married Don Schindler on August 8, 1990 in Hawaii. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2016.
She is survived by four children, Anne Weishaar, Bill (Barbara) Robey, Pam (Jim) Moore, Sheryl (Rod) Coss; two step-daughters, Gail Reed, and Leslie (Jim) Crandall; and many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and step-great-great-grandchildren.
June was preceded in death by her parents; brother; sister; and son-in-law, David Weishaar.
A funeral ceremony will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Nortonville Pleasant Grove Christian Church, 19861 Osage St, Nortonville, KS 66060. Burial will follow at Nortonville Cemetery, Nortonville, KS. The family will receive friends from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, at the Presbyterian Manor Jellison Chapel, 4712 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, KS 66606.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice, 3715 SW 29th, Suite 100, Topeka, KS 66614 or Nortonville Pleasant Grove Christian Church.
