Chris was born July 2, 1990 in Salem NJ, and passed away March 15, 2018 peacefully in his sleep. He graduated from Topeka West High School 2009 and Kansas State in 2014.

Chris married the love of his life, Mallory Appelhanz in Topeka, KS in 2014. He was employed at Mariani Landscaping in Lake Bluff IL. Chris loved landscaping, animals, his two "girls" (dogs). Voted funniest kid in his class, Outstanding Senior in Horticulture from Kansas State University, selected National Honor Society- Pi Alpha Xi, two time champion at Planet, Nationally certified Arborist and nationally certified Horticulturist. Chris was fun loving, goofy, and had the kindest heart.

Chris is survived by his wife, Mallory, parents Eric and Carolyn, sister Jessica, grandparents Helen Mowday and Arline Korb, and Jackie and Jewels.

Services for Chris will be held at Fellowship Bible Church, 6800 SW 10th Street, Topeka KS on Thursday, March 22 at 9:00am. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Association of Zoos and Aquariums or the Kansas State Horticulture Scholarship Fund in loving memory of Chris.
