Abigail Rebecca Medley

Abigail Rebecca Medley, 17, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 in an automobile accident.

She was born October 30, 2000 in Manhattan, Kansas, the daughter of Terry Medley and Jennifer Collier. Abigail was a Junior at Washburn Rural High School where she was a member of the Varsity Soccer Team, member of Student Council, ran Cross Country and was a member of Creation Club. She was inducted into the National Honors Society. She also played for Topeka Select Soccer Club.

She was a member of Lowman United Methodist Church. She was an artist and also enjoyed photography.

Abigail is survived by her parents, Terry Medley, Jennifer (Matt) Hosie; her brother, Jake Medley, her three sisters, Brooke Medley, Nora Hosie and Mattie Hosie; paternal grandparents, Betty Medley and Rich Schleuber, Hillsboro, KS and Soren Medley, Wichita, KS; maternal grandparents, Jackie Howard, Topeka and Michael (Julie) Collier, McLean, VA; step-grandparents, Darrel and Margo Hosie, Concordia, KS; maternal great-grandparents, Don and Carolyn Collier, Overland Park, KS; and many extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Philip Howard; paternal great-grandmother, Frieda Birkle; maternal great-grandparents, Robert D. and Mary Alice Smith.

A celebration of life service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Fellowship Bible Church, 6800 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday at Lowman United Methodist Church, 4101 SW 15th Street, Topeka, KS.

Memorial contributions may be given to Lowman United Methodist Church, for a playground in her honor or to the Abigail Medley Memorial Scholarship Fund for Topeka Select Soccer Club, 5620 SE 45th Street, Tecumseh, KS 66542.
