Sarah E. Murrell, 98, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Brewster Place in Topeka. She was born March 17, 1919 in St. Francis, Kansas, the daughter of Adrian "Elgy" and Elsie E. (Auchard) Randolph.

Sarah graduated from Seaman High School. She was employed by Sears, Roebuck & Company in the credit department and also worked for the State of Kansas Department of Revenue. She was a member of Kansas Avenue United Methodist Church, Al-Anon and the YWCA.

Sarah married John M. Murrell on June 2, 1939 in Topeka. He preceded her in death in 2003. She was also preceded in death by one son, Dave Murrell, one great-grandson, Jaryd and her siblings, Adrian, Margaret, Richard and Jim.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth (Cathy) Murrell of Pensacola, Florida, five grandchildren, Marc, Chari, Kenyan, Kyra and Jackson and five great-grandchildren, Ashley, Dylan, Shyanne, Brandon and Cody.

Cremation has taken place. In remembrance of her life, the family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 in the Fink Living Room at Brewster Place Health Center. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Brewster Place Foundation, 1205 SW 29th St., Topeka, Kansas 66611 or to Great Lakes Caring Hospice, 3715 SW 29th St., Ste. 100 Topeka, Kansas 66614.
