Richard E. Baker, 89, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Brewster Place. He was born December 5, 1928 in Topeka to Bert C. and Rena V. (Roberts) Baker. Richard graduated from Highland Park High School. He was employed as a warehouse manager at Topeka Supply and Boiler before retiring.

Richard married Marcina F. (Ward) Baker on December 3, 1955. She preceded him in death on June 25, 2017. He was also preceded in death by one infant son, Jeffrey Baker, three brothers and four sisters.

He is survived by his two children, Brenda (Ken) Carlson of Ankeny, Iowa and David (Kassi) Baker of Topeka, four grandchildren; Ryan (Dani) and Kyle Carlson and Jeremy (Ashley) and Tyler (Brooke) Baker and four great-grandchildren; Mia, Liam, Briella and Brady.

Cremation has taken place and no memorial services are planned. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Great Lake Hospice, 3715 SW 29th St., Ste. 100, Topeka, KS 66614.
