Ethel Marie Honeyman, 105, Holton, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at a care center in Holton.

Marie was born February 7, 1912 in Lafontaine, KS, the daughter of William Henry and Winnie Ethel (Adams) Beeman. She graduated from Fredonia High School.

She was employed as a bookkeeper/teller for First National Bank in Chanute.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Chanute where she served as an Elder and was active in women’s organizations in the church.

Marie married F. James Honeyman on August 1, 1941 in Clay Center. He died June 9, 1991. Survivors include daughter, Paula Felker, Topeka; and grandchildren, Tammy, Josh and Joseph; 4 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and 3 nephews.

Cremation has taken place and graveside inurnment services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Fredonia City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Chanute or the charity of the donor’s choice.

Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
