Margaret E. “Maggie” (Garvin) Kramer, 97, formally of Meriden, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in Topeka.

Maggie was born September 5, 1920, in Odgen, Kansas. She was the daughter of Will and Edna (Mallon) Garvin. She graduated from Manhattan High School. She married George D. Kramer in 1940. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by four children, Donnis (Gerald) Hodges, Bill (Mary Lou) Kramer, JoAnn Hards, and Patty (Greg) Bond; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years; daughter, Mary Ellen Peden; two grandchildren, Heath and Shanel White; and five siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017, at Mater Dei Assumption Catholic Church, 204 SW 8th Ave, Topeka, KS 66604. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Ogden, KS. A Parish Rosary will be prayed one half hour prior to the Mass. The family will greet friends following Mass.

Maggie will lie in state from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka.
