In Memory Of
Beverly L. Sanders
1927 - 2017

Beverly L. Sanders, 89, of Boulder, CO passed away on September 30, 2017. Beverly was born on October 27, 1927 in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas to Albert and Frankie Richardson.

From there she grew up in Newton, Strong City, and Topeka where she graduated from Topeka High in 1945.

She married Thurman Merrill Sanders. She supported her husband's career, all while raising a family, accompanying him through moves to Kansas City, Minneapolis, Madison, WI, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, and finally her beloved Boulder, CO.

She tried to live by the Golden Rule, to treat others as we wish others to treat us. One way she expressed this was through her politics. She was a proud liberal Democrat. She was especially active with Democratic Women of Boulder County, who presented her with the "Give'em Hell Harry" and the "Golden Donkey" awards.

Beverly is survived by her children, Jeanette Sanders McCallister of West Allis, WI, Eric A. Sanders of Cedar Grove, WI, Marc D. Sanders of Cedarburg, WI, Jon M. Sanders of Boulder, CO; grandchildren, Beverly Bangs Johnson, Andrea Sanders Hanson, Tyler Sanders, Jesse Sanders; five great grandchildren; siblings Harold Richardson, Clifford Richardson, Leon Richardson, Robert Richardson, Dorothy McMullen. She was preceded in death by siblings Albert Richardson Jr., Norma Livingston, Betty Elliott and Edmond Richardson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local humane society or animal shelter.

The family will host a reception from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka. Burial will follow at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery & Mausoleum, 3616 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka.
