Mary Jean Glenn,78, passed away on September 13, 2017 in the presence of her husband and family.

She was born on December 16, 1938 in Cherokee, AL.

Jean grew up in Cherokee and moved to Topeka in 1951 after the Topeka flood.

Jean married Galen on March 27, 1955 in Topeka, KS at Galen’s home.

They were happily married for 62 years. She enjoyed working with ceramics, knitting and crocheting.

Jean was preceded in death by her son Troy Allen Glenn.

Jean is survived by her spouse Galen of Topeka; her sons Wesley Glenn (Brenda) of Berryton, Ron Glenn (Susan) of Shawnee, and Sandy Groves (Keith) of Topeka; her two sisters Nina Adams and Karen Moore of Topeka; twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Jean will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 17 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave Topeka, KS. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday,September 18, with burial to follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Healthcare Resort of Topeka, 6300 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, KS 66617.
