Jean Ann Kesler of Topeka, KS, passed away on Monday, August 21.

Jean graduated from Topeka High School, received her BA in Business from Washburn University, her MA in Education from George Washington University and her MLIS concentration in Television and Video production from Catholic University. She worked as a Media Specialist for the Montgomery County, Maryland Public School System until her retirement. Jean was active in the ASPCA, League of Women Voters, the Smithsonian Institute, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, and the National Cathedral, Great Decisions series. Jean loved cats, art, education, and travel.

Jean is survived by her sister, Janet Kay Bair-Rost of Topeka; her nieces, Alicia Bair of Syracuse, NY, Andrea Bair, Gwendolyn (Wendy) Bair-Loehr (Rob Loehr) of Topeka, and Kristia Kesler, of Overland Park, KS; her nephews, Thomas Bair (Jeannie Bair), Everett, WA, Kenric Kesler (Vanessa Fitz-Kesler), Flagstaff AZ and Gregory Bair (Marcella Sepulveda Bair) of Kansas City, MO, Thomas Rost of Maple Grove, MN, FJ Rost of Las Vegas, NV and Miles Rost of Overland Park, KS; 14 great nieces and nephews and several cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Henry Albert Warren (Hank) and Ethel Hillyer Kesler and her brother James Dirk Kesler.

A memorial service will be held at the Brewster Place Health Center, Fink Living Room, September 7, at 2:00 PM.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association and the Helping Hands Humane Society of Topeka.
