Shirley J. Scott, 58, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017. She was born November 7, 1958 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Andy and Wilma McElhiney.

Shirley graduated from El Dorado High School. She was a member of the Kansas City Church of Christ.

Shirley married Daryl E. Scott on December 18, 1976 in El Dorado, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include their children, Amy (William) Fish, Lorin (Michael) Feiden, six grandchildren, Kody, Tristen, Callista, Jaden, Kailey and Harlow and one great-granddaughter, Violet. Also surviving is her brother, Larry (Penny) McElhiney.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Andy and Wilma, and her brother, David McElhiney.

A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3625 SW 29th St. Suite 102, Topeka, Kansas 66614.
