Lesa M. Massey, 81, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at a Topeka hospital. She was born December 7, 1935 in Lindsborg, Kansas, the daughter of Roy E. and Lillian A. (Anderson) Bonar.

Lesa graduated from Alta Vista High School. She had resided in Topeka since 1954. She was employed by the Topeka Police Department. She was a member of the Alta Vista O.E.S.

Lesa married Robert L. Massey on October 1, 1954 at Alta Vista. He survives. Other survivors include their children, Christina Harvey, Kelly Moore, Tim Massey, six grandchildren, Janet, Chelsea, Lauren, Mallory, Phillip and Stephanie, eight great-grandchildren, Zane, Aiden, Mason, Drake, Marley, Sophia, Dallas and Brinley and her siblings, Douglas Bonar and Linnea Rein.

Lesa was preceded in death by her sister, Stena Wolgast.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Lesa will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, Virginia 22312 or to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, Illinois 60674.
