Edward J. Montour, Sr, 95, Topeka, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017.

He was born January 7, 1922, in Shawano County, Wisconsin, the son of Dewey and Esther (Hartman) Montour.

Edward served in the U.S. Army Corps during WWII in the 39th Bombardment Group. He was honorable discharged with rank of Corporal.

He was a television technician at Ed Marlings, retiring after 35 years.

He was a charter member of Calvary Lutheran Church.

In August 17, 1944, he married Lillie Etta Janssen in Wells Creek, Kansas. She preceded him in death in April 1978. Later, in 1980, he married Isabelle Oliver. She preceded him in death in 2003. In 2005, he married Beverly Kuhn in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two sons: Edward J. Montour, Jr. (Vicki) and Steven D. Montour (Linda); brother, Lawrence Montour (Diane); three step-sons: Michael Kuhn (Mary), Charles Kuhn (Peggy) and Jim Andy Kuhn (Betty); two granddaughters: Stephanie Montour and Lynsay Montour; one great-granddaughter: Bella and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 4211 NW Topeka Blvd., Topeka. Interment with military honors will follow at Rochester Cemetery. Edward will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
