Benjamin Jay Cunningham
1967 - 2017

Benjamin Jay Cunningham, 50, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 peacefully at home.

Benjamin was born May 1, 1967, in Long Beach, CA. to Stephen Earl Cunningham and Patricia Anne (Ray) Brown. He married the love of his life and beloved “huckleberry,” April Elane (Poe) Cunningham on May 24, 1997, in Carson City, NV. Benjamin, also known as Ben, Uncle B, Son, and Brother just to name a few, graduated from Barstow High School in 1985.

He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing, camping, and was huge family man. Ben was complete when he was with his wife and daughter. Whether it be around the house or outdoors, as long as they were by his side, he was happy.

Benjamin and April welcomed their pride and joy into the world in 2006 when Meadow Raine was born. He was the most kind hearted person and loving man. He would do anything for anyone, which includes giving the shirt off of his back to a stranger. He was a very affectionate man and loved everyone, especially his family. He loved to dance, joke around, and had a laugh that would fill a room. He lived his life as a certified Master Electrician and loved what he did.

He is survived by his wife; daughter; step-father and mother, Ronald Brown and Patricia Brown; step-mother, Kathy Cunningham; brother, Stephen E. (Scheri) Cunningham, Jr.; sister, Diana (Michael) Thedie; and many nieces and nephews.

Benjamin was preceded in death by his father.

A private reception will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017.

Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Meadow Raine Cunningham College Fund c/o Landmark National Bank.
