1930 - 2017

Ginny Scrinopskie, 87, of Topeka, Kansas passed away Monday, June 19, 2017 at Stormont-Vail Regional Med. Center, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Hays. Kansas, but grew up in Wichita, Kansas. Ginny was the daughter of Alice and Tom Allan.
At the beginning of her career, she worked at Kansas Power & Light. Then, after 20 years of service with the Kansas Legislature, she retired as the Supervisor of Pages. In her early years, she was a member of both the swim and figure skating teams. Her interests included bridge, gardening, bowling and traveling.
Ginny was a member of many organizations including Temple Beth Sholom Sisterhood, Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA), The Women’s Club of Topeka, Kansas, and West Hills Garden Club .
She was married to Robert M. Scrinopskie, of Topeka, Kansas, a longtime businessman, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her loving children, her son Myles J. Scrinopskie, Fairfax, VA; her daughter Linda S. Heath, and son-in-law Charles B. Heath, Dallas, TX; and her daughter Barbara W. Simpson and son-in-law Murray L. Simpson, Atherton, CA. Other family members include nieces, great nieces and great nephews; cousins; and, also her beloved dog Sandy.
The family would like to extend their thanks to Ginny’s caregivers, Deb, Sunshine and Terri for their loving kindness.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, June 23, 2017 at Temple Beth Sholom, 4200 SW Munson, Topeka, KS 66604. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Her fighting spirit and gentle nature will be lovingly remembered in our hearts forever.
