Mary was born September 5, 1958, in Chanute, KS, to Father Dewey I. and Frances J. (Brown) Smith. She grew up in Chanute and moved to Topeka when she was 17. Mary was a long-time member of Central Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her three chrildren, Kimberly Dawn (Lloyd Alan Ratzloff) Smith, Gary Smith, and Angela (Jason) Mocniak of Petersburg, MI; seven grandchildren, Zachariah, Bradley, Christopher, Talon, Alexus, Alexander, Emilee, Logan, Gavin, and Collin; two great-grandchildren, Hayden, and Elias; and six brothers and sisters, Russell Smith, Freddy Smith, Shirley Anderson, Kathy Smith, Betty Meredith, and Jeanette Riedle.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and five brothers and sisters, Charles Smith, Dewey R. Smith, Dorothy Scobee, Goldie Smith, and Linda Shephard.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Central Church of Christ, 1250 SW College Ave, Topeka, KS 66604. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
