Nancy Jo Griffin

Nancy Jo Griffin, 78, Topeka, died Monday, May 8, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital, Topeka. She was born March 29, 1939, at Wheaton, KS, the daughter of Arthur and Verna (Graf) Toothaker. Nancy graduated from Wheaton High School.

She retired from Santa Fe after 34 years of service. Nancy was a member of Grace Baptist Church and Women of the Moose.

She was married to Ronald C. Enneking in 1957 and they had four children. They were divorced. Nancy was married to Galen Eugene Griffin on May 19, 1984, in Topeka. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Ann Enneking, and a sister; Ruth Keating.

Surviving are her husband Galen Griffin of the home; five children: Teresa Lynn Tilford (Kenneth) of Edwardsville, GiGi Miller (John) of Topeka, Timothy Enneking (Cheryl) of Mayetta, Troy Enneking of Lawrence, and Sandra Jones (Dennis) of Topeka; three sisters: Betty Olive (Ken) of Camdenton, MO, Ireta Schwant (Dennis) of Blaine, and Jean Brazell (John) of Beatrice, NE; and five grandchildren: Travis Tilford of Kansas City, MO, Joshua Miller of Topeka, Jeremiah Miller of Mayetta, Alexy Enneking of Lawrence, and Summer Enneking of Lawrence.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 12, 2017, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Interment will be in Topeka Cemetery.

Nancy will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Thursday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.
