Betty M. Allen, 89, of Carbondale, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017.
She was born February 4, 1928 in Topeka, the daughter of Claude R. and Marie (Heller) Edwards.
Betty graduated from Highland Park High School and later attended Baker University. She worked for Tatge Chemical Company in Herrington and later worked for Econo-Clad in Topeka, retiring in 1991. She then worked for Osage Co. Headstart, beginning as a volunteer and finishing as a family resource worker.
Shopping, eating out and decorating for the holidays were her favorite pass times. Her church continued to be an important part of her life.
Services are pending and will be posted as soon as they become available.
