Matthew A. Leavitt, 19, Topeka, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017.
He was born January 16, 1998, in Fort Riley, Kansas, the son of William and Shari (Fisher) Leavitt. He attended Seaman High School and Washburn Rural High School. He played the saxophone in the marching band at Washburn Rural.
He is survived by his parents; four siblings: Brandon Gogian, Topeka; Samantha Gogian-Brown (David), Edmond, OK; Joshua Gogian (Chauntasy Gardenhire), Topeka and George Leavitt, Topeka; nieces and nephew: Gwendolyn Gogian, Lila Brown, Lexi Brown, Grayson Brown and Aubrey Gogian, arriving in April; paternal grandparents Ben Donaldson and Caroline Leavitt, both of Boulder, MT; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and his cat, Riku.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Raymond and Elva Fisher.
Matthew enjoyed hanging out and playing videos games with his brothers and friends and spending time with his nieces and nephew. Matt always had a smile on his face wanting people to be as happy as he was.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
