Samantha Mary "Sam" Haug

Samantha Mary Haug, 13, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017.

She was born November 10, 2003, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Richard and Sheryl (Jackson) Haug.

She was a 7th grader at Jardine Middle School.

Samantha was a passionate artist, and was very creative. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, and designing projects that she brought to life from her imagination.

She loved spending time with her family, listening to music, and was very compassionate about animals.

Samantha was known for her infectious smile, and willingness to help others.

She is survived by her parents, Richard and Sheryl Haug, of Topeka; a brother, Richard E. Haug, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Eric and Sharon Jackson, of Topeka; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Mary Alice Haug, of Topeka; four uncles; five aunts; as well as seven cousins.

A visitation with a closed casket will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Fellowship Bible Church, 10th & Urish Rd, Topeka. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her honor may be made by selecting the "Pay Your Bill" tab and referencing Samantha's name.

Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
