Eva L. Masters, 101, Topeka, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Aldersgate Village.
Eva was born January 17, 1915 in Burlingame, the daughter of John and Bertha Peterson. She attended Burlingame schools.
She owned and operated Eva’s Beauty Shop in Burlingame for 27 years.
She served on the Burlingame Library board for 2 terms, and was a former member of Eastern Star.
Eva married William H. Masters on July 23, 1932. Her husband of 61 years, died November 15, 1993. Survivors include grandchildren, Jean (Bruce) Shriver, Steve (Diana) Holmes, all of Topeka, 5 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Charles (Ina) Peterson, Topeka. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn “Anita” Holmes; and brother, Johnny Peterson.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Mount Hope Cemetery and Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at Aldersgate Village, or the Burlingame Library.
