She was born on July 20, 1922 in Sedalia, MO, the daughter of William and Nellie Maude (Riley) Gupton. Laura grew up in Topeka, graduated from Seaman High School in 1940, and married Eugene Franklin Hill in July 1946. She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker.
Laura was an avid weekly pitch and canasta player with her special friends at Brewster Place, whom she cared for very much.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband and two brothers, Elgin (Odessa) Gupton, Wichita, KS, and Russell (Mary Lou) Gupton, San Antonio, TX.
Laura is survived by her son, Gary (Judy Mae) Hill, Wikieup, AZ; daughter, Janet (Jeff) Litfin, Topeka, KS; three grandchildren, Joseph Litfin, Topeka, KS, Jodi Litfin, Topeka, KS, Jayne (Kurt) Hafner, Kansas City, KS; and three great-grandchildren, Rylee, Brooklynn, and Macie Hafner.
A private family graveside service will be held at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Street, Topeka, KS 66606.
