Sandra Kaye Fisher, 65, Topeka, died Saturday, September 10, 2016, at her home. She was born May 29, 1951, in Topeka, the daughter of Sam Andrew and Louise (Maines) Fleming.
She had worked at Colmery-O’Neil V.A.M.C. Sandra retired from the U.S. Coast Guard on May 13, 2013, after 28 years and 9 months of service. She loved flowers and gardening. Sandra was a friendly and fun-loving person.
Surviving are two children: Jason Thomas Fisher of Topeka and Teresa Louise Fisher of Seattle, WA; and three siblings: Ronald D. Fleming, Arleigh G. Fleming, and Debra A. Fleming all of Topeka.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Interment will be in Shipshee Cemetery, Mayetta.
Sandra will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Monday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.
