She was born February 6, 1935 in Topeka Kansas, the daughter of Mattie and Elwin Niccum. She graduated from Seaman High School in 1953 and worked for Santa Fe Railroad. Nancy later worked for Adams Business Forms later retiring in November 2001. She started baking professionally in 1964 and was affectionately named, “The North Topeka Cake Lady”. She loved being able to share her gift with people’s biggest moments and believed cooking is love made edible.
