Self-Care During your Grief Journey
As you go through your grief journey, self-care can often take a back seat.  However, this is an essential time to make your health a priority and take care of yourself the best you can. We have gathered a few tips to help you put yourself first.

Take time to pamper yourself – Whether it is running a bubble bath, getting a pedicure, treating yourself to a movie, take the time to do something that feels good to your soul. 
 
Practice aromatherapy- Calming essential oils, such as; lavender, chamomile and jasmine are all soothing oils that can help to relax you. Take up a new hobby- Whether you’ve always wanted to learn to play guitar, take a yoga class, or try your hand at making jewelry, trying out a new hobby will help you to focus on you and activities you enjoy doing. 

Walk outside- Exercise releases endorphins, which help to improve your mood. Head outside and take a long walk in nature, this will help to clear your mind and relieve any stress you might be feeling.

Write in a journal- Writing down your feelings during this time is crucial, and keeping a journal is a great outlet for when you’re feeling overwhelmed with emotions.

Make yourself a priority- Focus on your needs before worrying about others’. Grieving can take a lot out of you emotionally, and it is important to put your own needs first to heal properly.
