Funeral Director in Charge Becca Duncan has been serving Topeka families with Penwell-Gabel since 2008. She and her husband Dave have three children. Becca learned funeral directing while apprenticing with her uncle, and finds it very rewarding to help families in their time of loss. Becca is very active in her children’s school and athletic activities and her church.

Managing Funeral Director Jeff Hurst has been serving the families of Northeast Kansas since 1964, and has been a part of the North Topeka community for over 30 years. Jeff and his wife Loretta have two married sons and two grandchildren.
Jeff is an active member of his church and a member of the Masonic Lodge (Past Member), Scottish Rite (K.C.C.H.), York Rite (Red Cross of Constantine), Arab Shrine Temple, I.O.O.F., Kiwanis Club (Past President), Optimist Club, and many professional organizations. Jeff has served on numerous boards and has been active in his sons’ Cub and Boy Scout Troops, and the Seaman School District.
